Please be aware that German language knowledge (at least B1) is typically necessary when looking for a job. There are many possibilities for the so called mini-jobs, mainly in the service sector or as a student assistant at the university. Such positions are normally characterized by a weekly workload of approx. 10-15 hours. If you work more, your study performance may be affected. By law, a monthly income of up to 450 (5400 per year) is free of taxes. Citizens of the European Union have completely free access to the job market.
