Master's Thesis Procedure Information .... in a NUTSHELL
* Applications open at all chairs (departments) of the FEM (school), for all master's students - check the LSF portal for chairs by study program.
* Observe the rules: master's thesis and seminar language must be in English.
* Beforehand: Receive information about requirements, topics from the website of the chair, like details, and deadlines, ...
* Observe the requirements of participation in a specific seminar, or project as a prerequisite for the thesis.

Note!
At the LSF portal, students may find an overview of the chairs of our school who supervise master's theses, and in accordance of their degree program. Under the lecture "Master Thesis with Research Seminar (29994)" students can find all chairs that supervise master theses in M-IMME, M-FINEC, M-ORBA, and M-EPA. Please note, if it is important to you to write your Master's Thesis in the following semester to be open and consider even chairs which are usually not among your first priority.

Limited places for chairs by strict regulations. Several chairs (Marketing, IM, ...) are booked out very quickly. Consider another chair which is providing open places. We regret to inform that the school is not obligated to provide a specific chair for writing the thesis. Please be prepared to be flexible. Please be informed that Master's student must apply to at least 4 chairs and receive 4 rejections to receive assistance from the Dean's Office of Study Affairs regarding allocating a Master's thesis seminar. Failed the Master's thesis? Unfortunately, it happens from time to time. Please, be informed that you can repeat the thesis writing only once and only in the following semester. No semester break allowed. Please review the Study- and Exam Regulations/SPOs of your study program published in the "Students' Documents" section and get an appointment for personal counseling at the ISP Office soon as possible. Also, review the FAQ and Support sections.
