Bachelor Thesis + Seminar Information:
BA Thesis Schedule: SoSe 2024     Detailed Process: SoSe 2024

The bachelor's thesis registration consists of several steps and is carried out starting in the prior semester. Certain requirements must be met in order to qualify for the bachelor thesis seminar. Please review the study & exam regulations thoroughly.

Should an IBE student fail the bachelor's thesis, it may only be retaken once and must take place in the following semester. A retake is not permitted if the bachelor's thesis has already been passed.

Elective Cuuriculum Information:

Learn more about project seminars, the bachelor's thesis registration, master application requirements, and deadlines during an event which is held every summer semester (typically in June) by the ISP office. In the meantime, kindly review the presentation above.

For compulsory elective modules (typically in 5th & 6th semesters), students are not bound to the "three-strikes" rule which applies to compulsory modules (1st - 4th semesters), meaning that IBE students have unlimited attempts to pass a compulsory elective exam, or may simply take another compulsory elective module instead (after failing a different compulsory elective module).

 Language Accreditation Information:

Note for the IBE 2nd Foreign Language Accreditation!
In order to receive accreditation (10 CP) of the foreign language courses, which is compulsory for the bachelor's degree, IBE students must write an email from their OVGU email account to the FEM examination office (pruefungsamt-ww@ovgu.de).

You must mention:

  • The foreign language in the header (regard) of the email (!)
  • Full name
  • Student ID number
  • The language which you would like to get recognized (some students finished 2 or more languages).

The foreign language grade certificate must be requested by contacting the language center examination office (sprz-pruefungsamt@ovgu.de). Please note that you do not need to forward the certificate to the FEM's Examination Office in order to receive your 10 CP.
